Gordon Allport - a leading expert on bias and prejudice - studied what type of people are most likely to conform to evidence-led debunked beliefs. I have experienced exactly the same type of authoritarian instant knee-jerk rejection and - in addition - considered stubborn 'fact denial' blindsight behaviour from leading Darwinist scholars in the face of paradigm changing bombshell discoveries, which completely disprove their prior beliefs about the history of the conception of the principle of natural selection.
