I enjoyed your article on Wallace shooting apes in Sarawak. I investigated his odd claim (unique in the history of both malarial fever and scientific breakthrough discovery) to have independently conceived the theory of macroevolution by natural selection whilst recovering from malarial fever in Sarawak. It turns out that the naturalist Selby - chief editor of the journal that published his famous Sarawak paper - had prior read and cited the book containing what the world's leading experts (including both Darwin and Wallace) admit contains the complete first publication of the theory of macroevolution by natural selection.  You can read the independently verifiable facts (and more besides on Darwin) in these open access peer reviewed scholarly articles and my book:
